Frequently asked questions

What encryption standard is used?+

AES-256 with PDF revision 6 — the strongest encryption defined in the PDF 2.0 specification.

What if I forget the password?+

We do not store passwords and cannot recover them. Keep a secure copy of your password. If lost, the file is unrecoverable without brute-force tools.

Can I set different permissions (printing, copying)?+

The current tool sets a full-access password. Granular permission restrictions (read-only, no-print) are on the roadmap.
